Vietnam Luxurious train to begin running in September

A luxurious train named Livitrans Express for the Hanoi-Lao Cai route will be put into operation in September 2007.

The train, with equipment equivalent to a high-class hotel, will have tickets priced at VND200,000 to VND340,000 (US$12 - $21). It also has a VIP carriage with only two beds with the ticket price of VND990,000 ($61).

 

The train has a bar, LCD television sets, toilets, etc. Passengers will be served with drinks, confections, newspapers free of charge.

 

 

The Hanoi-Lao Cai trains are always overloaded, especially during weekends and holidays. According to the representative of the Lien Viet Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company, the investor of the luxurious train, the new train will meet the needs of local and foreign tourists who want to go to Sapa by train with better service quality.

 

Tickets will be sold through the system of agents of Lien Viet company and through the Internet at listed prices.

 

 

 

Livitrans Express will depart from the Hanoi Railway Station at 11.05pm everyday from September 2007. Passengers can book tickets through 04.9429919 or www.livitrans.com .
