Arrive at Noi Bai Airport. After transferring to the hotel, we begin an afternoon cyclo city tour around the bustling 36 streets quarter filled with traditional handicrafts. Free in remaining time at leisure.

 

Day 02: Hanoi – Bac Can – Cho Ra (Lunch)
We drive early in the morning for a stretch of 170 km from Ha Noi to Bac Can. Enjoy the natural landscape of northeast Viet Nam on the way. Firstly we visit a Tag hill tribe village. Then we go to Cho Ra, center of Ba Be province. The architecture here is very typical from the ethnic minority. We visit Na Giao village before stop at Cho Ra for staying overnight.

 

Day 03: Cho Ra – Ba Be (Lunch)
Enjoy a 3-hour morning boat cruise on Ba Be Lake to Dau Dang waterfall, Pac Ngoi village, Ao Tien.... We board a dugout and cruise on Nang River to reach Puong cave. We have a short halt in Cho Tau to visit an ethnic market, which is held regularly one time every 5 days. You can explore Ba Be Lake on your own in the remaining time.

 

Day 04: Ba Be – Hanoi (Lunch)
Enjoy the natural beauty of Ba Be one more before drive 250km south back to Ha Noi.

Day 05: Depart Hanoi (Lunch)
Time for shopping. Transfer to the airport for departure flight.

Departure for Ba Be, passing through the mountainous region of Tonkin - Thai Nguyen. There are superb landscapes with the rice fields in terrace, the paddle wheels in bamboo on the two sides of the river. Have lunch on road. Upon arrival at Cho Ra, take a boat on Nang river that slips in a cultivated country before penetrating in a landscape of chalky cliffs whose flank are characterized by small wild gardens, where hang the lianas and its long roots in quest of earth. Then enter into the Puong Cave. The river flows, making up a wonderful site where you can enjoy the stalactites on foot of this pothole. Continue going by boat to Pac Ngoi - a village of Tay ethnic. The Tay lives on fishing, rice and corn cultivation. Their stilt houses with the thatched roofs disperse in the austere surrounding landscapes. Have dinner and overnight at the inhabitant.

Day 2: Boating - Return Hanoi (B/L/-/)
After breakfast, visit Ba Be National Park then take a car back to Ha Noi . Have lunch at Cho Ra town, with an optional visit the ATK Zone (Militarize Zone) on the way back to Ha Noi. Arrive at Ha Noi around 17:30

BB 02: BA BE LAKE

(3 days/2 nights - daily departure)

 

Depart 8.00 AM for Ba Be Lake (145 meters above the sea level). Ba Be is the original national park, 250 kms from Hanoi. Stop on the way for sightseeing and photographing.

 

Day 2 Ba Be
Visit on wooden boat the beautiful national park. You can discover spectacular high waterfall, rivers, deep valleys, natural cave and small lakes. The lakes are surrounded by steep mountain up to 1754 meter high. Trekking through many ethnic hamlets scattering around the lakes on the land.

Day 3 Ba be - Hanoi
7:30 Back to Hanoi. More stops on the way, visit more minority village. Stop in Thai Nguyen for visiting the Vietnam Minority People Museum. Arrive Hanoi at 15:00. End tour

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Son La (Cycling) (-, L, D)
Depart for Son La (328km) with stop for taking photos. Have picnic lunch. Then drive from Mai Son Dist to Son La town. Arrive in Son La. Check in hotel. Free time. O/N in Son La.

Day 2: Son La - Dien Bien (B, L, D)
Visit the French prison, Ethnology Museum and then transfer to Dien Bien with stop at Thuan Chau Market ...joined by hill tribes and enjoy the panorama view from “Pha Din” Pass (1300m). Arrive in Dien Bien. Check in hotel. Free time. O/N in Dien Bien.

Day 3: Dien Bien – Lai Chau (B, L, D)
Have breakfast, visit Dien Bien Phu Museum, Colonel Christian de Castries, Muong Thanh airport, Hill A1. Then transfer to Lai Chau. On the way to Lai Chau, visit hill tribes: Black Thai, White Thai, H’mong, Phu La... O/N in Lai Chau.

Day 4: Lai Chau – Sapa (B, L, D)
Depart for Sapa with stop for visiting Thai, Red Dzao, Flower H’mong, Suspension Bridge. After have lunch in Tam Duong, visit Tram Ton Pass where enjoy the beautiful view of countryside. Arrive in Sapa. Check in hotel. Free time. O/N in Sapa.

Day 5: Sapa (5 hours trekking, 12 km, 2 villages) (B, L, D)
Trekking to Cat Cat, Sin Chai village of the Black H’mong. After having lunch, visit the Hydroelectricity Station which built by the French. O/N in Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa – Can Cau - Bac Ha (Cycling) (B, L, D)
Leave for Can Cau Market where have chance to meet almost ethnic minorities in unique colorful market of Northwest Vietnam. Return to Bac Ha. After having lunch, cycling to visit “Pho” village, H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong). Dinner and O/N in Bac Ha.

Day 7: Bac Ha – Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
In the morning, transfer to Ba Be with stop for taking photos and visit the minorities. In the afternoon, visit Hydroelectricity of ethnic people. Diner and O/N in Ba Be.

Day 8: Ba Be Lake (B, L, D)
A day tour of Ba Be Lake, take a boat on Ba Be Lake, visit Puong grotto, Dau Dang waterfall, “Window” islet swimming….and then trekking to Pac Ngoi village where explore the daily life of Tay. Diner and O/N at local home in Po Lu village.

Day 9: Ba Be – Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)
In the morning, visit Ban Gioc waterfall. Arrive in Ba Gioc waterfall, at leisure for relaxing, taking photos or swimming. In the afternoon, return to Cao Bang. O/N in Cao Bang.

Day 10: Cao Bang – Lang Son – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Transfer to Lang Son town. Arrive in Lang Son, visit Tam Thanh, Nhi Thanh caves and then Ky Lua Market. After lunch, drive to Halong city. Arrive in Halong. Check in hotel. O/N in Halong.

Day 11: Halong (Kayaking) – Hanoi (B, L, -)
Early in the morning, embark a wooden boat for cruise in Halong Bay (6hours) . Visit some magical grottoes and relax in the best scenic beauty of Vietnam: Sung Sot Cave, Titop beach, fishing village. Then the boat stop for kayaking and swimming. Return to Hanoi. On the way back, visit Dong Trieu ceramic village.
